As dysfunctional as dysfunctional can get, Little Miss Sunshine, is a heartwarming family drama wrapped tightly in a comedy of errors. While it does, at times, dangle over the edge of ridiculous, the movie is familiar and engaging. Sympathy and empathy abound as the family experiences many, many, many snags on route to a pint-size beauty pageant. With an untimely malfunctioning horn and suddenly detachable side door, the 'bus' - an older model Volkswagen van - is a character all it's own. Paced like a short-story you just can't put down, Little Miss Sunshine is perfect movie-night fare.
